About Uriah James

Kestrel Advisory & Consulting was founded by Uriah James, a project and construction management executive with nearly 20 years of experience delivering high-performance projects across New York City, Connecticut, and major U.S. markets.

His career includes roles starting at AKF Engineers (now part of the WSP group) as an Electrical Design Engineer, superintending and project management roles at large CM/GC firms such as Turner, Tutor Perini & Plaza Construction, and most recently Gleeds, where he served as Vice President, Co-Principal and Project Management Lead of the New York business overseeing multi-city programs, multi-floor commercial fit-outs and infrastructure projects for global financial, technology, hospitality, residential and media clients.

Uriah's portfolio includes workplace programs, multi-phase renovations & expansions in occupied environments, major MEP upgrades, generator, elevator and infrastructure replacements, hospitality refurbishments, and corporate office buildouts. He has led teams through accelerated schedules, remediation programs, procurement processes, and complex stakeholder structures involving projects with multiple independent client stakeholders, landlords, designers, contractors, and specialist consultants.
